Introduction: The World is One Family "Living with love isn't an idea; it's a choice we make every day."
In a world where business, community, and well-being often live in separate worlds, a new development in the Netherlands is redefining what a center for modern life can be. Located in Almere Poort, Project AMBIKA is not merely a building; it is a "living ecosystem" rooted in the ancient Sanskrit philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, "The World is One Family."

The vision, led by founders Amrita Tewari and Lalit Bhushal Sharma, and Co-Founder Sandra Bharadwaj-Charoe, this innovative concept operates on a powerful premise: whether we are of different colors or varieties, we are all connected particles of the divine. There is no distance between us. AMBIKA Center is designed to be the physical manifestation of this unity, a place where you can work, celebrate, and meditate under one roof.
A Four-Layer Ecosystem AMBIKA Center is designed to bridge the gap between the material and the spiritual, guiding visitors through a transition from the outer world to inner peace as they ascend the floors:
Ground Floor: Dedicated to parking.
Level 1: The Conscious Workspace (Business Center) This is not a typical grey office. Designed as a "garden kind of working space," it integrates natural elements like bamboo and wood to foster breathability and calm. It features private offices, boardrooms, and a high-tech media center for recording and editing, proving that a professional environment can be both productive and restorative to work and recharge at the same time.
Level 2: The Cultural Hub A space for expression and connection. This floor will host courses in dance, music, yoga, literature, and languages. The centerpiece is a large multi-purpose banqueting hall for weddings and cultural events. In a strict commitment to non-violence and sustainability, the center encourages a vegetarian and vegan lifestyle, offering a compassionate alternative to standard event catering.
Level 3: The Sanctuary (The Temple) Unlike many temples in the region that open for limited hours, this space is designed to be open daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. It offers a permanent refuge for meditation, allowing visitors to disconnect from the noise, connect with the spiritual, and explore Vedic culture.
The "Three-Legged" Financial Model Sustainability is at the heart of the AMBIKA strategy. To ensure the project is stable rather than vulnerable, it stands on "three legs":
Business: The Business Center provides a solid financial base through long-term corporate rentals
Community: The Cultural Center generates revenue through courses and event bookings
Spirituality: Because the commercial floors cover operational costs, the Temple is not forced to commercialize its services. It relies on donations but remains financially secure, allowing it to focus purely on spiritual service.
Strategic Location:
The "Metropole Region Amsterdam” The project is strategically positioned in Almere Poort, the youngest - and rapidly developing - city in the Netherlands. This location was chosen for its unique blend of urban connectivity and natural serenity:
Accessibility: The site is just 10 minutes from the train station, adjacent to a bus stop, and directly accessible from the motorway.
Growth: The area is rapidly developing into part of the "Greater Amsterdam" region, making it a high-potential investment for the future.
A Legacy for Future Generations Project AMBIKA is currently in the development phase, and on the brink of securing the land. The goal is to build something that outlasts the current moment, a foundation for children and grandchildren to "fall back upon" in times of need.
